Huriyali, located on Huger Street, is a vegetarian junkies’ heaven. What originally started as a juice bar, has now turned into a well-known cafe that features vegan and vegetarian options. The outdoor seating features three picnic tables covered in lights and greenery as well as a running fountain and vines draping from overhead. This is the perfect place to enjoy any of their salads, sandwiches, smoothies, and juices. The restaurant aims to source as much organic produce as possible; they currently use produce from Ambrose Family Farm, Joseph Fields Farm, Kennerty Farms, and Celestial Hills Farm. Their prices range from $7 – $13 per meal. My personal favorite is their Goddess Salad that features shredded carrots & beets, heirloom tomato, almonds, cilantro pesto rice on a bed of seasonal greens with a creamy housemade cashew goddess dressing. If you have $10 to spare, you can never go wrong with the Breakfast Bowl that includes two farm eggs (any style), sauteed kale, quinoa with mixed veggies, beans, seeds, fresh herbs, avocado mash, and green goddess dressing. Huriyali will be sure to satisfy your needs, whether you’re looking to feast after a night out or just grab a nice juice after a Pilates class.
